You are saying Vegas correct. Normally you guys pronounce "V" as we would pronounce a "W" so I can understand how it feels weird. I would expect you to say it like "Wegas" but that is not actually how it's said. Its like "Vay-gis"

My first Gen Con was Gen Con 20 if I recall correctly when it was still in Milwaukee, WI. We went every year for quite a while but only went once to Indy. It was fun but it's gotten a bit too crowded for us. Had I known sooner I'd have loved to have met you guys! Have fun!!!

The pronunciation of Las Vegas in Norwegian is close to that in English. Because it's a Spanish name, meaning "The Meadows". Which makes them probably the hottest meadows in the world around the time you will be there. (As I write this, it's 42°C in Las Vegas. It gets hotter later in the summer.) Have fun on your roadtrip. 2 weeks from LA to Indy is enough to see many things, but I'd recommend not trying to see all the things. There are a lot of things. 8-)

I'm so jealous! Not that you're going to Gen Con, but because everyone at Gen Con has a chance to meet you. 😁 Your pronunciation of Las Vegas is pretty close: it's Spanish but anglicized, so the last vowel is dropped. Approximately "Lahs VAY-guss" or "VAY-giss." Either way, no one will have any trouble understanding you, they'll just know you're from out of town. Speaking of which, the state of Nevada is "Ne-VAD-ah", not "Ne-VAH-dah".

Las Vegas is a bit...meh. Unless you go there to meet up with the Board Game Barrage crew. I'd rather spend more time in nature to be honest, Three Kings is amazing.

Have fun at GenCon. I was there last year for my first time. I worked in a booth so I did not get to play many games but it was still a lot of fun. I suggest stopping by the consignment room. There are a lot of rare and old games there.

I really dislike Agricola. I can never do the action I want to do, and I never have the resources I need to do the other actions. I have only played it 3 times at three player but I never want to play it again. Feast is my #1 and Caverna is my #2. I really want to try Le Havre but no one in my game group has it and it is a bit too much for me to buy without trying it first. I don't really care for his tile laying games (with Feast being the exception) but I don't really care for most tile laying games.

Sunniva - For Le Havre, have you seen the players aids on BGG? My friend made them many years ago (username Dannecus) and I can't play Le Havre without them now. A nice place to store your resources and it shows you everything that is happening throughout the game. Maybe it will persuade Johannes that Le Havre is #1. (Although I probably would put A Feast for Odin as my #1!)

At 15:59 Johannes completed a card illegally. The cube should be on top of a 2 story house, not a field.

Uwe Rosenberg is one of my favorite game designers, and I love this video. Your tastes really seem to align with mine! I own eight Uwe games, and seven of them are in your top eight! (I also own Bohnanza and I don’t (yet) own Nusfjord.) I love watching your channel. Thank you for all the hard work that goes into making so many great videos. 😃

Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small Big Box is the way to go. All the extra special building tiles ramp up the variability and replayability of the game. I recommend folks seek out that version of the game.

I agree with your top 3! I think I have about 10 Uwe games on my top 100 of all time. Agricola isn't one of them, Caverna completely replaced that for me. Hallertau and Caverna Cave vs Cave are up there for me. I haven't played several of the new ones.

I expected that Acrigola is on a much higher rank and i was suprised to see it on 18! My first experience with Agricola wasn´t a good one. I didn´t like it. A few weeks later i borrowed the game to give it another chance, because so many people like it. Well, it´s not my game. I do like workerplacement games but i don´t like Agricola. Glad i borrowed it before i bought it.

Agricola at 18? Ugh, should be top 3...

I love all creatures big and small. That and Patchwork are my favorite 2 player games.
